HSIP is a collaborative effort drawing on the support, expertise and commitment of our industrial partners and members. The confidential sharing and analysis of data through HSIP:

  1. Measures the current state of daily safety performance in a number of areas including accidents, incidents, fleet distributions and usage data

  3. Closes the loop and monitors the effectiveness of safety actions

Workstream Leads: Duncan Trapp, VP Safety and Quality, CHC, James Stottlemyer, VP Health, Safety and Environment, Bristow Group, and Duncan Moore, Group Chief Operating Officer, Omni Helicopters International

The Safety Intelligence Workstream focuses on five areas of the Safety Performance Model:

  2. Competency of operational staff including selection, experience, readiness, training and use of evidence based training

  3. Standards and Oversight

  4. Effective Safety Management Systems

  5. Effective Safety Leadership and Culture

“Better data drives better safety performance. We use data to guide our actions and measure whether our actions are having the desired effect.”
