Leadership and Inclusion for Future Transformation (LIFT)

LIFT’s mission is to demonstrate how diversity can strengthen employee engagement, build organisational resilience, and deliver improved safety outcomes.

Together, we will build an industry culture leveraging diversity and inclusivity to enhance safety performance and strengthen our talent pipeline.

To achieve this, we have set three strategic ambitions:

  • To increase diversity and inclusivity within our industry

  • To improve the transparency of the composition of the industry

  • To support leaders to deliver a more inclusive and diverse industry

With over 30 organisations represented in our ever-growing group, we have the momentum to make change happen. And we’re just getting started. If you would like to get involved, contact info@helioffshore.org

LIFT’s Data Collection

In early 2024, the LIFT group launched a survey to investigate diversity within our helicopter operator members. 23 unique responses were received - around half of HeliOffshore’s operator members.

A wide range of organisation sizes was represented in the survey ranging from fewer than 50 employees to more than 1,000. And, we received responses from organisations located across the globe.

From a total of 3010 pilots, respondents reported 118 female pilots in the 23 organisations. That equates to 3.9% overall or 1 in 25 pilots.

And, from a total of 2324 engineers, respondents reported 77 female engineers in the responding organisations.

For a breakdown of all the data we received, watch this video. We’ll be inviting all of our members to participate in the survey later on this year.
